Made up of Junior and Senior Troops those in their last four terms would be in a Senior Troop and graduate together then the following term that troop would be a Junior one

On joining a troop you would start in your patrol at the bottom of the barrack room with the patrol positions as follows:

Aug 67 – Moved to the Army Apprentice College Harrogate to complete boy service and trade training as Radio or Comcen Operators also a few to the Junior Tradesmen Regiment at Troon to train as Electrician Drivers and Linemen

4 Troop – Blue flash.
Aug 67 – Were split between going to the Army Apprentice College Harrogate or output to Training Brigade

B Squadron
5 Troop – Mauve flash.
Output Aug 67 – Posted to units as BIII tradesmen or to Training Brigade

6 Troop – Yellow flash.
Output Aug 67 – Posted to units as BIII tradesmen or to Training Brigade

7 Troop – White flash
Output Apr 67 – Posted to units as BIII tradesmen or to Training Brigade

NB: The original plan was to disband the Regiment in December 1967 so some Junior Leaders went to Catterick still 16 years (and needed parents permission) and others to BAOR postings not 17.5 years so still on boy service pay!
